Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Supervise and coordinate activities of processing, recycling and warehouse operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise warehouse employees and oversee transportation supervisor to ensure compliance with established company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Manage all recycling, post-retail revenue, and salvage operations, maximizing value of all recyclable material and donated goods, while reducing waste.
  • Manage all waste operations including negotiating and managing all waste contracts.
  • Assist with budget and adhere to department budget guidelines.
  • Direct recycling programs to achieve assigned goals and objectives.
  • Develop material handling methods which increase and/or preserve donation value and allow for low cost processing.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations, ODEQ/ORC and GII standards, and safety and security regulations.
  • Direct all salvage activities and ensure achievement of assigned goals and objectives to ensure monthly expense and revenue budgets are met.
  • Takes corrective action to ensure acceptable employee performance according to policy.
  • Facilitate and conduct employee evaluations.
  • Comply with and promote all Goodwill policies and safety procedures.
  • Enforces compliance with GICO’s Safety Program and participates in the safety committee and its meetings.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists leadership in planning and developing new business opportunities in consultation with partners and other organizations.
  • Market and develop new salvage revenue sources.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to support GICO mission.
  • Ensure cleaning and other products, when possible, are green and sustainable.
  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENT:

  • Standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, reaching, walking, hearing, seeing, twisting, and turning.
  • Ability to perform lifting 30-50 lbs with ability to exert 150-300 lbs. of force.
  • Work environment sometimes steady with occasional high stress.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Warehouse environment regularly exposed to airborne particles.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
  • Some occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for required education.
  • 3-years management experience.
  • Must attend and pass CPR and 1st Aid Training
  • Must pass MVR, must have a valid Oklahoma driver license and current insurance.
  • Must pass drug and background screening.
