Yard Forklift Operator

• Operate forklift to load and unload commercial vehicles
• Physically inspect product and build sample orders by hand.
• Continually monitor and verify all aspects of product quality.
• Follow established guidelines on policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Communicate any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions with yard supervisor
• Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Work in collaboration with other forklift drivers, truck drivers and other employees in order to achieve performance goals

• Have the knowledge, skill, and ability to operate a forklift
• General Computer Skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Manual dexterity
• Time Management Skills

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
